Condor Tool & Knife of El Salvador has long been a prime source for robust and practical machetes, tools and camp gear and knives. In recent years they have been taking their know-how for durable craftsmanship and quality tempering to create swords, daggers, axes, spears, and more. Condor Tool and Knife was founded in 1964 when the German Solingen-based company GEBR Weyesberg Co. expanded its operations. GEBR Weyesberg Co. was founded in 1787 and became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of knives and swords. When they founded Condor Tool & Knife they shipped state-of-the-art german manufacturing equipment to the new company and sent skilled employees to train the new workforce to make high quality and well-standardized knives, tools, and swords. Local El Salvadorean investors purchased Condor in the 1980s and it continues to run today operating 24/7 to fulfill worldwide demand.

Sinbad of the Jungle This is an incredible all-around weapon, machete, Scimitar for swordsmanship, defense, offensive–whatever you want. I live in Kauai, Hawaii–and going on an adventure to climb a mountain–to get there I have to hack through the bush with this machete and an axe. There are big boars in the jungle–so this is my machete because it also is a sword for defense–and that blade tip will do it. The overall price, fit, construction, wt, balance–very tight and strong–can NOT get better than that. Thank you Condor–El Salvador!
Impressed, lively sword, best bang for the buck ever. I’m impressed by how lively this sword is. It is durable, well built, best Short Sword for the money I’ve seen so far. Ans as a bonus it has the option of being used either with one hand or two. Condor really hit a home run with this model !
