Hand forged from 5160 high-carbon steel and dual tempered for performance (60 HRC at the edge with a softer, more flexible core), the Baron’s 32″ blade features deep, double fullers that reduce weight without sacrificing strength. At roughly 3 lbs 11 oz with an approximately 3″ point of balance, the sword is lively in the hand — offering swift handling and nimble response that make it enjoyable to swing and easy to control in both cut and thrust drills. Its guard and pommel are crafted from steel and the grip is wood with a tight wrap of cord-impressed leather. The tang of the blade is solidly peened over the pommel to give it a lasting and complete hilt construction.
The quality-crafted companion scabbard for the sword is made from carved wood and it is bound in stitched leather and fitted with a steel cap for protection. An integrated sword belt of leather makes it ready for wear right out of the box.
