This single-edged Qama brings considerable slicing and chopping power for a short sword; a thick spine powers its hacks and chops and the curvature of the tip serves to deepen a slashing cut as the blade arcs through a target. An acute tip backed by a broad blade makes this sword a highly-capable thrusting blade as well – once the tip finds purchase in a target the blade widens quickly to produce a woefully wide puncture.

The blade is strong, sharpened and tempered high carbon steel and the blade is constructed in a highly durable fashion with a thick, full tang which itself is a solid and seamless extension of the blade itself. The grip is formed from a set of polished wood scales which are brass riveted directly into the tang for an overall robust and permanent setting.

The sword is paired with a well-constructed wood-core scabbard which is bound in finely-stitched leather; on its reverse it a riveted belt loop of leather.

I first heard out devils edge through the YouTube channel skallagrim and was impressed with what I saw. After looking around I found the Qama and absolutely loved the design and profile. After purchasing it I can say I am not disappointed. It’s an amazing cutter and rebuts construction. Also as someone who is smaller in stature the handle fits me perfectly . I usually have issues with modern reproductions having to large of handle for my small hands but not with the Qama. My hand fits perfectly. Also the fact that it comes with a scabbard is a nice feature that a lot of modern sword manufacturers can’t say the same for.

I am leaving a review for the Qama only (It did come with a scabbard which I will leave a review for in a seperate paragraph.) The blade is quite simply, beautiful. Feels great in the hand, the weight is nice, not too heavy. I do appreciate how the blade came oiled and protected in a layer of plastic, no scratches, and the blade is SHARP. I am impression 100%.

The scabbard, I am thankful they added one, but I think mine is not the one that goes to this weapon here is why. It looks nothing like the one in the image, and the blade doesn’t fit in it, at all. When I put the Qama in the scabbard, it literally falls out. I am not joking. I can put it in, and if I tip it side ways at all, the blade just slides completely out. The blade opening in the scabbard is almost twice as big as the thickness of the Qama. The material is cheap, and the strap on the scabbard came right off.
