The Sandai Kitetsu, one of Roronoa Zoro’s famed swords from One Piece, is faithfully recreated here by Hanbon Forge as a fully functional katana forged from durable T10 high-carbon steel. Unlike many decorative replicas, this edition is constructed for real performance, making it ideal for collectors, cutting practitioners, and fans who want a working sword that can cut targets capably. Weighing at less than 3 lbs with a point of balance at at about 5 inches, it offers responsive handling and the lively feel expected of a traditionally made katana.
The 28.5 inch blade is forged from quality tempered T10 steel. The vivid red coloration along the spine and the sharp visual contrast of the finish evoke the distinctive look of Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu while maintaining the durability and cutting capability of a proper functional blade. A full-length tang is securely mounted into a over 9 inch long wooden tsuka, wrapped in tight and intricately knotted itocord to provide a sure grip. Beneath the ito cord are panels of genuine rayskin. The tsuba and all hilt components are made from solid metal, giving the sword robust durability and a substantial feel superior to the lightweight plastics used on display-only pieces. With an overall length of 39.75 inches the sword balances strong visual presence with capable real-world performance. Included is a carved wooden scabbard with a deep dark red lacquered finish and brass-hued metal components to match the sword. Also included is a gift display box and a brocade sword bag.
The Sandai Kitetsu is the third-generation blade of the Kitetsu line—cursed swords renowned for their sharpness, ferocity, and appetite for risk. In One Piece, Roronoa Zoro’s acceptance of this dangerous weapon reflects his unshakable resolve and fearless nature, trusting his own skill and spirit to master the sword rather than be consumed by its fate. This high-quality steel reproduction captures the striking appearance of the Kitetsu while delivering the practical construction and handling expected of a real katana.
