This is the officially licensed reproduction of Herugrim, the sword of King Theoden of Rohan as famously seen in the climactic Ride of the Rohirrim scene in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings. Broad bladed and with regal proportions, the sword of King Theoden has quite the presence and will certainly catch the attention of all when displayed. The blade is polished stainless steel and the hilt is finely cast antiqued brass. The grip is wrapped in faux leather. Included is a wooden wall display plaque with silkscreen design (mounting hardware included) and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Common Questions

The blade is polished 420 stainless steel and the hilt fittings are finely cast antiqued brass with a faux-leather wrapped grip.

Yes. It includes a wooden wall display plaque with a silkscreen design, mounting hardware, and a Certificate of Authenticity.

No. The edge is unsharpened from the manufacturer.

Overall length is 36 3/8 inches with a 30-inch blade; weight is approximately 4 lbs 5 oz.

It is manufactured by United Cutlery in China and is an officially licensed Lord of the Rings reproduction.

It has a point of balance about 6 1/2 inches from the guard and a broad, weight-forward blade giving it a substantial, display-oriented feel.

With its stainless steel unsharpened blade and decorative brass hilt, it is best suited for display and costuming rather than cutting or full-contact sparring.

The grip is faux leather over the core and the pommel is threaded.

It is Herugrim, the sword of King Théoden of Rohan from The Lord of the Rings films.

Wipe fingerprints after handling and apply a light coat of oil or silicone to the blade; dust the brass-finished fittings and plaque with a soft cloth to preserve the antiqued look.
