    • From the Musha Series comes this beautifully detailed hand forged Ceremonial Japanese “Tachi” sword which reproduces the beautiful fittings of the Tachi sword used for ceremony and meld it with a fully functional, battle-ready blade and hilt construction. The blade has a full length tang and is forged from 1045 high carbon steel blade that is thoroughly hardened and finished with an aesthetic hamon to create a resilient sword that is sharp right out of the box. The finely cast metal fittings are full of vibrant cultural detail with detailing picked out in gold trim. The genuine wood Tsuka has panels of faux black rayskin which is wrapped with supple, durable and boldly colored red faux leather in a traditional tsuka-ito knotwork pattern .
    • The scabbard or saya of wood also matches the theme of the tsuka and continues with detailed metal accessories. It is also partially wrapped with black and gold cloth brocade with synthetic fiber and a deluxe cotton red, multi tone sageo cord to complete the scabbard. A cloth sword bag for storage and transport is included.Tachi is often confused with Katana. They are very similar, but not the same. Tachi and katana generally differ in length, degree of curvature, and how they were worn when sheathed, the latter depending on the location of the mei, or signature, on the tang. The tachi style of swords preceded the development of the katana, which was not mentioned by name until near the end of the twelfth century; tachi are known to have been made in the Kotō period, ranging from 900 to 1596.
