The Musha Hand-Honed Ko-Katana makes a fine companion sword to the Musha Hand-Honed Katana, but serves quite capably on its own as well, particularly in close quarters where its shortened blade can be used to great effect. Unlike a Wakizashi, the lengthened grip of the Ko-Katana allows for both hands to be used for greater power and leverage, but the sword can quite easily be used in a single hand as well which gives it great versatility.

The blade is forged from high carbon steel and is finished with a sharpened edge and an etched hamon. The dual-ring Musashi style tsuba is made from blackened steel and the seppa and habaki are of brass. The fuchi collar and kashira pommel cap are antiqued metal then the wooden grip has panels of imitation rayskin beneath the black cord wrap. The sword is matched with a wooden saya scabbard which is finished with a glossy black lacquer with a black cord sageo and an antiqued metal collar. A black sword bag is included.

A few minor cosmetic defects, but the blade is solid and cuts exceptionally well for a sword of this price.
