By applying their knowledge of traditional weapon design, Raven Forge perfected the wakizashi’s proportions and handling, making it not just a replica, but a true artifact of gaming history.

A weapon of both practicality and prestige, the wakizashi was the trusted companion to the samurai’s katana, perfect for close-quarters combat and ceremonial use and bearing both of them as a pair was indicative of one’s status as a Samurai. This faithful reproduction features a finely polished 19-inch blade, a beautifully cord-wrapped faux-rayskin handle with ornate menuki beneath the knotted ito, and a wood-core saya (scabbard) finished with textured faux rayskin and metal hardware in an lavish antiqued brass finish. It is completed with a sageo cord for display or wear. Comfortable in the hand with its 6-inch grip, it balances at 4 inches from the tsuba for agile and responsive handling with authoritative presence. Included with the wakizashi is a wall-mount display plaque and a Certificate of Authenticity – all presented within a stunning gift-ready box.
