Though large and with some authoritative heft, the sword is still quite manageable in the hand. The sharp and well tempered blade of 1075 high carbon steel is mounted into a hilt with a stainless steel guard and pommel. The HRc hardness of the tempered steel is at 48-52 HRc. The grip is wood with a wrap of tight stitched leather and the tang of the blade is dual pinned to the pommel with a permanently installed nut assembly. The sword is paired with a wooden scabbard which is completed with a wrap of tight, matched leather and a steel chape and locket.
