Tod Cutler – Whittle Tang Dagger

This finely crafted dagger is based on 13th-16th century originals and like everything from Tod Cutler is the result of meticulous research into period originals and historical evidence that ensures even the small details are correct, altogether making this dagger a superb choice for reenactors or discerning collectors. Like originals, its blade is tempered high carbon steel with a simple, but embellished hilt of solid, carved wood. The full length tang is secured over the wooden pommel with a peen over brass.

The blade is just the right length at a bit more than 7 inches to make it an ideal all-rounder for self defense, general utility and bushcraft – an all purpose everyday, everywhere blade for the medieval or Renaissance peasant or simple townsfolk. Its thick spine gives it plenty of rigidity and durability and this tapers to a single edge and fine puncturing tip. The 4 inch hilt is just long enough for a sure and comfortable handhold. Included with the dagger is a sheath of robust genuine high quality leather with stitched construction that is ready to be fastened to your tunic belt.
