Tempered to approximately 50–54 HRc, the blade is capable of absorbing repeated impacts while maintaining structural integrity and reliable handling characteristics.

The hilt is built for strength and longevity. The steel crossguard and pommel anchor the blade securely, with the tang peened firmly over the pommel to create a durable mechanical construction. For additional reinforcement, the tang is welded to both the guard and pommel, ensuring the hilt remains rigid and dependable even during intensive use. The junction between blade and guard is also tightly fitted and reinforced to minimize movement at this critical stress point. The 8 5/8-inch grip, crafted from beechwood and wrapped in leather, provides ample room for a comfortable two-handed hold.
