The Arena Sword from Windlass has a styling that is very similar to a sword used by Maximus in the Colosseum gladiatorial fights in Gladiator (2000) with Russell Crowe. No mere prop it is a fully functioning battle-ready sword with a blade of tempered 1075 high carbon steel which is honed to a sharp cutting edge and very capable of powerful cuts, chops and thrusts. The blade is mounted into a hilt of wood stained to a dual tone appearance and finished with a gloss lacquer. The guardplate and accents are of cast brass. Included with the sword is a wall plaque for display with mounting hardware included.
