The Roman Eagle Gladius by Windlass has that extra embellishment ideal for the showmanship of the gladiatorial arena or for distinguishing the sword of a Roman general from the legionaries. A trio of eagles cast in highly detailed and antiqued solid brass adorn the guard and pommel. The rest of the hilt is carved from wood with the grip finished with a dark stain with the guard and pommel finished in a deep and lustrous burgundy. The tempered and sharpened blade is crafted from 1075 high carbon steel and finished with a mirror-sheen polish.

The matched scabbard is made from wood with a tight wrap of black leather, it is framed and plated extensively in antiqued brass with a set of hanging rings to allow it to be affixed to your own Roman baldric for wear.
