Bastard Sword
This Bastard Sword by Windlass Steelcrafts is crafted with an unsharpened blade of 1065 high carbon steel. The crossguard and pommel are of steel and the grip is intersected with a band of steel. The wooden grip is completed by binding it in stitched black leather. The sword is paired with a black leather scabbard fitted with a steel locket and chape.
With a wide blade this sword is built to deliver very strong chops and hacks at the expense of thrusting ability due to a spatulate-shaped tip. The weighty pommel is a notable weapon of its own when used in conjunction with the various pommel-striking techniques.
Although labeled a bastard sword by Windlass, its weight, balance and length of grip strongly suggest that it be used two-handedly, though it could perhaps be used sufficiently in a single hand by a wielder of great strength.

Good With Small Issues This sword is overall an average. Its a little heavy due to how broad it is and the leather sheath that it comes with could be much better. I enjoy having it in my collection but its weight is a little off putting and feels slightly clunky to wield but for its price it is pretty much worth it.

No true bastard, but still tough,durable,eliable,beautiful,and tough I’ve owned this sword for over a year and a half now, and I have put it through the wringer through rain,ice,snow etc. Ingotta say I love the weight, it reminds me of a cold steel maa grosse messer when It comes to its weight,durability,and slashing abilities. You should be able to use this sword like a cold steel maa grosse messer. I have personally Cut,thrust,chop heavy wood targets, countless medium and soft targets and used this sword as somewhat of a fancy “beater” but it refuses to compromise its integrity. Fittings still tight, blade has held edge with only having to resharpen once in a year and a half.no chips on blade, nothing. Minimal, and I mean minimal Oil and wax have kept the entire piece pitt mark,and rust free. I’ve had this sword out in the rain for many hours of many days, abusing it as hard as reason will allow me, and the sword looks as if it’s only been hanging on the wall the entire time. Definitely recommend it at the price
