Cold Steel Trench Hawk
The Cold Steel Trench Hawk was designed for combat in the confined spaces of a trench, bunker, alley or other narrow space. All it takes is one stroke from the cutting edge or its wedge shaped spike to end the fight. The Trench Hawk's twin business ends make an accurate throw a breeze, since there's double the chance of a lethal hit. When used defensively, the Trench Hawk's cutting edge and spike also provide a big advantage, as either can be used for hooking or trapping and their combined length can be used to parry or block an incoming blow.
The Cold Steel Trench Hawk head is drop forged from 5150 carbon steel and differentially hardened. The handle of the Trench Hawk is made of polypropylene and is highly resistant to shock and impact and will withstand abuse that would easily break even a tough hickory handle. Finally, to help protect its owner from its cutting edge and dangerously sharp spike, it comes with a patented Secure- Ex sheath that features a cleverly articulated design.

A testament to the brand This modern tomahawk is an excellent product for the price. Shortly after removing it from the shipping package, I could tell that it was very well balanced on the swing, as well as being lighter weight than I had expected. Maintenance shouldn’t be difficult assuming you have a larger set of Allen wrenches along with some gun and/or sword oil on hand. Overall I would say that the hawk itself is well constructed, and the sheath used to cover the axe head will aid in safe storage.
The only issue I have is with the handle, which I think would benefit from a rougher texture or some horizontal grooves on the lower portion to help maintain a stronger grip. Nothing a good wrap of batting tape couldn’t solve, but otherwise I would remmomend this to anyone looking for an economical hand axe.
10/10 Product shipping took about three weeks but definitely worth the wait. Came razor sharp and packaged very well no room for movement. great steel blade and the black powder coat isn’t rubbing off any time soon. Very sturdy handle and blade cover. Amazing product I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a tomahawk.
