This pair of couter armor which provide armored protection is crafted from plates of 16 gauge steel; they are riveted to a backing of quilted and padded cotton. This material and make of this padding is identical to they type used to make gambesons, coifs and other padded armor. The cotton and padding are organic and will ventilate better than poly-fill padding. The interior of the armor plate is blackened and this armor is fitted to the elbows with an adjustable steel buckle and leather strap - these components are riveted into place.
