Darksword Armory - Einar - Viking Sword
The Einar Sword is a Limited Edition sword which draws its inspiration from the epic Vinland Viking sagas; the hilt is embellished with extensive, serpentine Nordic knotwork which imbues the sword with the imagery of Viking culture and mythology in homage to the sagas. The sword takes its name from the Einherjar - undead warriors of Norse mythology.
The sword is forged from 5160 high carbon steel and is differentially tempered to possess a hard edge of 60 HRC and has a softer, flexing core of 48-50 HRC. The crossguard and pommel are cast from bronze with an intricately carved grip of darkened oakwood.
The sword is paired with a companion wood-core scabbard which is overlaid in leather and finished with a protective steel chape.
