Damascus Blade Indian Khukuri - Universal Swords
This Indian Khukuri has a large blade crafted from damascus steel. The bolster, pommel cap amnd grip rings are brass and the majority of the grip is formed from halves of carved and polished hardwood brass-riveted to the thick blade tang. The Kukri has a companion scabbard of carved wood fitted with a skin of black leather and a brass chape piece.
The Kukri has a well-deserved reputation as one of the most savage of chopping blades. Most bladed weapons of this size are not capable of severing limbs in a fell swoop, but this would not be unusual for the Khukuri - The elongated, forward sloping tip strikes with severe force in a manner more akin to a hatchet than a dagger.
