Daisho Kake Kabuto Helmet by Paul Chen - Hanwei
This Samurai helmet is recreated from a museum piece; crafted with great attention to detail this eye-fetching Kabuto is a natural centerpiece to a collection and it is also fully wearable. The helmet is 18 gauge steel with a finish in an antiqued, grayed mauve color; the plates are articulated with thick and colorful cotton cordage and the helmet is both padded and lined on the inside.
The Menpo face mask is removable and is completed with a genuine horse hair moustache. The helmet is finished with a horned Oni demon head of antiqued brass and genuine pheasant feathers - both of these can be removed if desired. Included is a wooden display stand.

Shop Hanwei Swords, Armor & More
Master sword smith Paul Chen created Hanwei Swords and led the early industry by creating authentic handmade swords of the highest grade steel over the last several decades. A favorite amongst the industry, the original Hanwei factory suffered from a fire and ownership changes. In 2025, the factory closed and original collaborator Frenchie Jin’s forge (Dragon King / Kingston Arms) has taken over, improving and reintroducing past models. The reinvented Hanwei focuses primarily on Japanese and Chinese models, including the Performance Series Katana. Many of the original European models are now adopted as part of the Kingston Arms line.
