Condor - El Salvador Machete with Micarta Grip
This particularly durable version of the Condor El Salvador Machete has grip scales of robust composite micarta which are triple brass riveted to the thick tang. The blade is ideal for powerful chops and hacks for clearing brush or splitting cutting targets and is crafted from tempered 1075 high carbon steel with a practical epoxy black powder coating for a finish. Included is a thick and tough sheath of stitched and riveted leather with a swivel-mounted belt loop for wear.
This machete is inspired by the working countrymen of El Salvador based Condor, who work arduously in the countryside surrounded by rich agricultural landscapes. They are the growth engine of El Salvador’s economy and are positioned as one of the best quality labor force in the world. Among some of the emblematic products grown in El Salvador are the premium, world-renowned Bourbon coffee, as well as sugar and cotton. The El Salvador Machete is robust, made in high-carbon steel that retains the elastic properties and an excellent edge.

Condor Tool and Knife was founded in 1964 when the German Solingen-based company GEBR Weyesberg Co. expanded its operations. GEBR Weyesberg Co. was founded in 1787 and became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of knives and swords. When they founded Condor Tool & Knife they shipped state-of-the-art german manufacturing equipment to the new company and sent skilled employees to train the new workforce to make high quality and well-standardized knives, tools, and swords. Local El Salvadorean investors purchased Condor in the 1980s and it continues to run today operating 24/7 to fulfill worldwide demand.
