Devil's Edge - Early Bollock Dagger - High Carbon Steel Version
This early Bollock dagger has a sharpened blade which is forged from high carbon steel. The rustic hilt is hand-carved from wood and polished to a smooth finish and the guard and pommel plate are crafted from brass. The dagger is matched with a scabbard of robust leather with tightly stitched construction. The belt frog is made from matching leather and embellished in antiqued brass - it can be removed if desired.
This Bollock dagger has a wide and rigid blade which can deliver powerful puncturing strikes and deep cuts alike. The shape of the guard allows for the thumb to comfortably be braced against the guard for improved blade control and power. A sidearm such as this would have been an essential bit of purchased kit for the man-at-arms on campaign who needed an eminently practical sidearm with a bit of style to denote his status.
