Overview
Fabri Armorum - Federschwert 135 cm
Please Note: Leather color may vary from photo and may be colors like brown, black, blue, green or red. In the case of brown it can vary from a light tan to a very dark brown
This Federschwert from Fabri Armorum is built to be a reliable and robust HEMA training sword. Its blade is crafted from 54SiCr6 (14260 ÄŒSN) steel which is tempered to a 50 HRc hardness for a great balance between resilience and wear resistance optimized for hard use. The blade is blunt and features a widened and rebated tip for increased safety. The blade was tempered to the "medium" flex option from Fabri Armorum to make it suitable for most classes and tournaments (Max pressure 11 - 12 kg). The sword is solidly constructed with a brazed and welded construction to firmly anchor the blade tang to the pommel.
The steel used for the blade 54SiCr6 (14260 ÄŒSN) is typically used in industrial settings for components such as performance train suspension or valve springs in engines that are exposed to high, repetitive impact stress.
