Overview
Fabri Armorum - Gothic Arming Sword with Cross Pommel
This classically styled medieval gothic arming sword is built for hard-hitting sport and stage combat and its blade is well tempered to a 50 HRc for a fine balance between durability, resilience and wear resistance. The edges are thick, blunted and rebated to allow it to withstand repetitive blade on blade contact. The ones offered here at Kult of Athena come with the “Battle Light / Slim” version blade option which strikes a balance between a tough and thick blade for sport combat, whilst reducing some weight to keep it more agile and responsive than the hefty wide blade standard “Battle” blade.
To ensure the sword has an all around solid construction, the crossguard and pommel are welded directly to the tang to prevent shifting are are exceptionally solid. The grip is bound in spiraled supple black leather to complete it and give a comfortable handhold.
