Musha Elite - Chokkan Katana
From the Musha Elite Collection, the "Chokkan" (Instinct) Katana has the upgraded blade of 1040-1045 high carbon steel with a distinctive indigo-hue blued finish; it is well-tempered and ready to cut right from the box. The blade is solidly mounted into a hilt with a metal tsuba, fuchi and kashira that are beautifully silver finished. The tsuba features in lavish detail a warrior and a tiger with the warrior representing strength, discipline and strategic thinking and the tiger being a manifestation of agility, keen senses and raw power - the pair in totality representing the virtues of the perfected warrior. The wooden grip has panels of faux rayskin which are bound in knotted purple ito cord.
The sword is paired with a wooden saya scabbard which with a marvelously flecked and iridescent finish of glossy lacquer and a matching knotted sageo cord. Included is a display stand and a cloth sword bag for transport and storage.
