Kingston Arms has reissued the formidable Lowlander Sword, a battle-ready behemoth that preserves the fierce legacy of 16th-century Scottish “Slaughter-Swords” while incorporating refined enhancements. Crafted from 1566 high carbon steel, this nearly 6-foot-long sword, with a 48-inch blade and a total weight of 7.8 lbs, delivers the raw cutting power that was favored by Gaelic mercenaries which is balanced by a 9-inch point of balance for surprisingly agile handling for a sword of its size.

Now forged at the Dragon King Forge in Dalian by Hanwei’s original artisans under Frenchie Jin, the sword features a retooled guard and pommel with a crisp, clean design that mirrors early historical originals which is finished in a sleek matte stainless steel. The blade is built for devastating cuts and thrusts and its thickened ricasso above the guard allows for a forward handhold to give wielding options to its bearer. Its 21-inch studded leather grip is overlaid with leather binding, ensures a secure hold for one- or two-handed wielding, while traditional Scottish quatrefoils in the ring guards nod to its Highland heritage. Ideal for collectors, reenactors, and HEMA practitioners, this functional greatsword excels in controlled cutting drills on heavy targets.
