This practical and robust rondel dagger is modeled after 15th century originals and it reflects extensive research and careful study of surviving examples to ensure authentic proportions and historically accurate construction of a classic sidearm for the knight or professional soldiery of the medieval period. Every component is shaped with precision to capture the look and handling characteristics of a true late medieval sidearm—making it a fine choice for reenactors, collectors, or students of historical arms.

The over 12 inch blade is forged from tempered high carbon steel, giving it the resilience and stiffness expected of a true armor-piercing dagger. Its wedge shaped cross-section tapers cleanly to a reinforced point which optimized for thrusting through the gaps of plate and mail armor. The spine of the blade is quite wide and gives the dagger impressive rigidity and sturdiness, allowing it to be used as a pick or lever for puncturing or tearing through the heaviest of armor. The octagonal rondels, crafted from solid brass, provide a secure hand stop while adding understated elegance. Between them sits a carved wooden grip, shaped for a confident, controlled hold. The blade’s full-length tang is finished with a traditional peen over the brass pommel cap for maximum durability and period-correct construction.
