The blade measures almost 36 inches and is forged from 65Mn tempered spring steel for strength, flexibility, and edge retention. Its elegantly formed long leaf blade cuts and slices with impressive ability whilst remaining an agile and dexterous sword in the hand. Weighing 3 lbs 10 oz with a point of balance at about 4 inches from the guard, the sword has a subtle forward presence that supports committed cuts without feeling sluggish or feeling like the user needs to push the sword through the cut.
The overall geometry evokes the classic long sword form seen in the films — broad enough for authoritative cuts yet tapered for thrusting capability. The extended 8-inch grip provides plenty of room for two-handed leverage, while still offering secure one-handed control when needed. Full tang construction ensures the blade is firmly anchored from tip to pommel, resulting in a dependable and robust hilt assembly built for real handling. It is matched with a wood core scabbard which is bound in faux leather and finished with a stainless steel chape and locket, as well as a faux leather sword belt for wear.
