Overview
Swordier - The Templar Knight Longsword Standard Grade
The Templar Knight Longsword from Swordier is inspired by the martial legacy of the medieval knights of the Monastic Orders. Built as a functional cut-and-thrust weapon rather than a mere decorative piece this sword is fully capable of repetitive backyard target cutting and regular cutting practice on appropriate targets. This blade combines purposeful and powerful cutting geometry with balanced handling, making it a compelling choice for collectors, reenactors, or enthusiasts who want a sword that not only looks like a sword that would be wielded by a Templar knight, but also cuts like one.
The blade measures 35 3/4 inches and is forged from well-tempered 65Mn spring steel for its strength, resilience, and ability to withstand repeated impact. Its classic warsword-sized cut-and-thrust blade profile delivers effective cutting performance while retaining the rigidity and shock resistance needed for robust handling. A fuller that runs half the length of the blade removes unneeded weight from the thickest part of the sword.
Weighing 3 lbs 9 oz with a point of balance approximately 2 3/8 inches from the guard, the sword feels agile and responsive in the hands. This close balance gives the blade quick recovery and good maneuverability for its size, whether executing controlled cuts or precise thrusts. The extended grip of almost 9 inches provides plenty of leverage for powerful two-handed strikes, sweeping blows, and confident control throughout dynamic movement.
The stainless steel hilt features a traditionally styled guard and pommel with the pommel featuring the cross and seal of the Knights Templar placed into the inset of the pommel. The grip is designed for both comfort and secure handling and supports a firm grasp during spirited use. Included with the sword is a wood-core scabbard wrapped in durable faux leather and fitted with a matching sword belt for wear and display. The scabbard not only protects the blade when not in hand but also completes the overall presentation.
Throughout the medieval period, the Knights Templar stood among the most iconic warrior orders of Christendom, known as fierce fighters, devout monks, and skilled cavalrymen during the Crusades. Their swords served as both spiritual symbols and practical weapons on the battlefield—balanced for cut and thrust, built for reliability, and carried as badges of both faith and martial duty. The Crimson Cross Crusader Longsword echoes this tradition, offering a blade that honors that storied legacy while delivering performance and handling worthy of its medieval inspiration.

But if your trying to buy a sword to mess around with friends with. Unfortunately I dont think this would be my first choice.
