Inspired by the Grandmaster’s Wolven Sword and the swords of the Cat School in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, this sword is no plain wallhanger or cosplay prop but is instead a fully functional fantasy sword not only can cut and slice targets, but do so with agility and speed. Its point of balance is only about an inch forward of the guard so the whole sword pivots on a dime with ease and can accelerate and rapidly reverse direction and flow under control. It does all this while looking gorgeous in its design and execution making it an ideal sword for collectors and enthusiasts who want a lively sword to anchor their collection and one that not only looks great on display, but can then seamlessly go outdoors for a bottle and tatami cutting session to hone one’s skills.
The 30.5 inch blade is sharp right from the box and well-tempered. Crafted from 1065 high carbon steel it has the necessary flex to function as a real sword unlike more brittle stainless steel wall hangers. The complex ring-hilt guard and pommel are finely cast from steel and the 7 inch long grip with a cord wrap gives its bearer a sure grip with plenty of cutting leverage. Paired with the sword is a wooden scabbard with a finished binding of stitched faux leather and a metal protective chape.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the swords of the Cat School are designed to reflect the fast, aggressive fighting style associated with the elusive School of the Cat. Both the steel and silver variants feature sleek, narrow blades with elegant curves and finely detailed crossguards that give them a more refined and agile appearance compared to the heavier-looking gear of other witcher schools. Great look and feel to this sword. A bit difficult to unsheathe, but that’s probably an easy fix with some slight modifications to the scabbard.

This sword is excellent. It’s a real bargain at this price.
It has the best scabbard fit of any European sword I own. Tight enough to keep a confidence inspiring grip on the blade while still allowing a smooth, easy draw. Mine has no rattle at all. I mean zero rattle.
The castings look pretty good, the guard looks great, and the waxed cord is tight and gives a secure grip. It feels significantly lighter than the listed weight and the balance is fantastic.
The blade is the star of the show. The grind and polish are excellent at this price. The edge is extremely sharp and everything looks even and symmetrical.
This sword is a lot nicer than the price would suggest. This is the 2nd Knight’s Collection sword for me. They’re definitely worth the asking price.
