Renowned as one of the fiercest fighting blades in the world, the Filipino Ginunting cuts, slices and chops with grievous ability with its forward sweeping, scythe-like chopper of a blade. This robust example of the Ginunting leans fully into maximizing cutting power with a thick-spined blade that brings not just durability, but a concentration of impactful mass to power the blade effortlessly through thick targets. A fine example for the backyard cutting enthusiast or the collector wishing to add some spice to their collection.

The blade is forged from tough 5160 steel which has been tempered and sharpened to an efficient slicing edge. Though built for heavy chopping, this Ginunting is still able to be wielded capably with a weight that is less than 2 lbs and a point of balance relatively close to the grip at 3.75″ inches. It has a full tang hilt construction with the 5.5″ inch grip being formed from a thick tang in a single piece with the blade and the grip scales of polished wood being strongly riveted directly with the tang. Fully completing  the sword is the wood core scabbard with a tight outer binding of leather and an integrated belt loop for wear.
