Overview
Valiant Armoury Craftsman Series – The Crecy Longsword with Scabbard - Blemished Grade
The Crecy from Valiant Armoury’s Craftsman Series is a grand example of a late Medieval longsword that blends fine aesthetics without forgoing an efficient and practical design well-suited for the battlefield, the duel and self defense. The stiffened blade with a diamond-cross section and a tapered profile is optimized for thrusting, but it is a surprisingly capable cutter as well. The sword was made entirely in the USA by the skillful hands of Zach and Sonny Suttles.
The blade is crafted from 5160 high carbon steel which was twice-normalized to ensure superior results when heat treating and to refine the interior grain of the steel. The pommel and crossguard are of mild steel and the grip of hardwood is tightly wrapped in quality leather. A hot-peened hilt assembly guarantees a robust and enduring hilt construction.
The sword is paired with a premium quality scabbard of wood which was bound in fine-grade embossed leather. A pair of buckled sword hangers and an adjustable belt of thick and durable leather create a complete sword and scabbard offering.
