Overview
Dragon King - Modern Wakizashi - Blemished Grade
Dragon King's Modern Wakizashi is the reimagining of the traditional weapon of the Samurai into a modern self defense blade that utilizes the full suite of modern metallurgy, materials and construction to create a sword that is effective, low maintenance and yet still retains the core of traditional design and elegance of the traditional sword. The differentially-tempered 1566 steel blade features a real hamon line with a copper habaki and seppa. The tsuka encapsulates the tang in textured G10 and is dual pinned for a secure grip. The silver menuki on the tsuka are shi shi (lion dogs) which are embedded in the handle. The textured black saya features an olive paracord sageo around a polymer kurikata and kojiri.
The Modern Wakizashi also has the Modern Katana and Tanto available as companion pieces to complete a matched modern warrior collection with these other pieces which are available separately.
