Korsoygaden Viking Sword - New Model - Deepeeka - Blemished Grade
The updated version of the Korsoygaden Viking Sword has a blade featuring more distal taper to make it more responsive and more readily used and it also has an improved scabbard. A late Viking sword, the historical original this recreation is based on was dated to the beginning of the 12th century. The blade is tempered high carbon steel (C60 - similar to 1060) and has a hardness of 48-52 HRc. The guard and pommel are solid brass and its grip is wood with a tightly stitched wrap. The sword is paired with an improved wood-core scabbard which is wrapped in tight stitched leather and features a cord binding with a wooden suspension loop by which a sword belt can be knotted or slotted through for wear.
A note about blade thickness: The base of the blade is about 4.7 mm thick, the thinnest point at the termination of the fuller is about 3.1 mm thick and the raised mid ridge at the tip makes it about 3.8 mm thick at that midsection. (Measurements are approximate)
