Hanbon Forge - Bleach Ichigo Kurosaki Bankai Tensa Zangetsu Sword (I)
Reproduced after Ichigo Kurosaki's iconic Bankai weapon, Tensa Zangetsu, from the popular anime and manga series Bleach, this handmade katana recreates the distinctive dark appearance of the powerfully transformed sword. Its black finish is contrasted by a red dyed genuine rayskin wrapped tsuka which was bound in knotted black synthetic silk, while the textured black matte scabbard completes the striking monochromatic design. Faithfully capturing the imposing aesthetic of Ichigo's Bankai, this replica makes a distinctive addition to any anime or Japanese sword collection.
The handmade 1095 high carbon steel blade features a blackened finish and the full-length, full-size katana tang is secured with two bamboo mekugi pins in the handle. The traditional-style koshirae features genuine red rayskin beneath black synthetic silk tsuka-ito in a Hineri-Maki wrap, complemented by an iron tsuba, black alloy fuchi, kashira and menuki, and blackened brass habaki and seppa. The black matte saya is fitted with a black synthetic silk sageo.
This Tensa Zangetsu replica is an impressive display piece for fans of Bleach and collectors of anime-inspired Japanese swords.
