Recreated after Ichigo Kurosaki's iconic Bankai weapon, Tensa Zangetsu, from the popular anime and manga series Bleach, this handmade katana captures the distinctive dark appearance of his transformed sword. Its blackened finish is contrasted by a tsuka wrapped in red-dyed genuine rayskin and bound with knotted black synthetic silk, while the textured black matte scabbard completes its striking monochromatic design. Faithfully capturing the imposing aesthetic of Ichigo's Bankai, this replica makes a distinctive addition to any anime or Japanese sword collection.
The handmade 1095 high carbon steel blade features a blackened finish, with its full-length, full-size katana tang secured within the handle by two bamboo mekugi pins. The traditional-style koshirae features genuine red rayskin beneath black synthetic silk tsuka-ito in a Hineri-Maki wrap, complemented by an iron tsuba, black alloy fuchi, kashira and menuki, and blackened brass habaki and seppa. The black matte saya is fitted with a black synthetic silk sageo.
