This English Close Helm is crafted from 16 gauge steel. The hinged visor can be raised when the wearer needs a clearer field of view or unobstructed breathing. Being a close helm, the front half of the helm can open to allow it to be fitted around the head. The neck armor is also articulated.

The interior of the helmet is unlined and blackened to give it some resistance to rust – included with the helmet is a separate padded cotton arming cap.
