This 16th Century German Dagger-Hammer has a dagger pick of high carbon steel and a fist of brass. It is mounted and riveted to a wooden half with a brass hanging ring at its end.
This curiously menacing of medieval weapons is purpose-built for savaging armor; the pick, in the form of a dagger is fitted to a weighty brass fist which can drive the dagger-pick into the target with grievous force. On the reverse the angular and faceted hammer head can hit with great concussive power.
Though a weighty weapon a dagger-hammer brings woeful amounts of force unto the foe in a form purpose-designed to puncture and rend armor. Though Dagger-hammers of this style look like gothic art pieces, though they are well and truly a tool of war.
