The TFW Claymore has a sharpened blade forged from 5160/D2 High Carbon steel which is mounted and peened into a hilt of blued steel; the hardwood grip is tightly bound in cord for a comfortable and utilitarian grip binding. The companion scabbard for the sword is carved from polished wood and is completed with a chape and locket of thick leather and a pair of moveable leather bands with brass hangers.
The most classic and iconic medieval Greatsword, the long blade and capable heft of the Claymore brings scything ruination upon its targets. The wide and sharp-edged blade of this example make it an excellent sword for decisively impressive cutting.
Please Note: It is common for this item to have spots of pitting in sporadic placement on the blade – these blemishes can be diminished or removed with the use of scuff pads.
