The piercing and chopping design of the Roman Gladius is modernized and brought to full tactical function with the Combat Commander Gladiator. The sword has a sharpened blade of 1060 high carbon steel that has been black-coated for stealth. It has a slip-resistance rubberized grip with two integrated holes that allow for the addition of lanyards (not included). The sword comes with a nylon and leather tactical sheath.
Perhaps if the Roman Empire had persisted until the modern era, its 21st Century Legionaries might be equipped with such a sidearm as this tactical Gladius, not only in homage to its soldiers of antiquity, but for the proven thrust and chop design; the steel of which an Empire was built.
