Darksword Medieval Knight Sword - Black - 28'' blade
The Darksword Armory Medieval Knight Sword is based on a 14th century original found in the Musdes invalides, Paris, France. The smooth quillons and blade reflect both design and taste of the late medieval period, eventually giving way to the gothic era. The Medieval knight's blade is forged with High Carbon Steel and beautifully set with a deep fuller. The richly detailed handle is made of wood, wrapped in high grade leather. Includes a wood scabbard with leather wrap.
Please Note: The scabbard seen in the photos is overly long and is shown here to demonstrate what the scabbard looks like. The sword you order will have a shorter scabbard of a proper length. Its appearance will either match or be quite similar to the substitute one pictured here.

Founded and operated by Eyal Azerad, Darksword Armory has long been supplying the re-enactment and sword enthusiast community with swords, daggers and more since 1996. New offerings from Darksword Armory are typically durable handcrafted swords with well-tempered blades. Most models come with a wooden scabbard and these often come in two options with plain scabbards or scabbards with integrated sword belts available.

decent sword but could use some improvement I have had the sword for over 3 years now, the blade is great, the handle on the other hand that is another story, after only owning the sword for 3 month I noticed a very annoying rattle, after six months the pommel broke, this is where I discovered the disappointed fact that the sword is threaded and not peened. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered to fix the problem, only downside was that I had to pay for the shipping which was not very cheap. Now my sword is fixed i am still a little worried that pommel may break again, but so far it hasn’t.
Beautiful and hand made Some articles savage DarkSword I can’t see why ! My sword is a work of ART ! Not made by a CNC mill . The slight ripples in the blade remind me of the surface of a quite mountain lake . The other North American sword maker may turn out a perfect looking sword , each one identical to the last but constructed by machine . A beautiful body but where is the soul ? The art of using forge , hammer and anvil is more ART than COMPUTER SCIENCE . Kind of like the difference between a Humvee and a warhorse . If you want machine perfection go with the other guy , if you want artful historical manufacture look no further !
