Deepeeka - Roman Centurion Shield
This large shield with its distinctive pattern serves to mark out the Centurion among the Roman Legionary cohort. Constructed from thick poplar wood it is bound in tightly drawn linen and reinforced by battens on the reverse and brass edging and it has a strong central grip on the reverse. Handpainted to a high quality finish, the shield is finished with a brass shield boss.
Please Note: The shield ships without the shield boss attached. It is attached to the shield base with simple screws which are capped with brass caps that emulate the appearance of brass rivets. Hardware is included.
