The Dusge (or Dusack) is a cutlass-like sword that enjoyed great popularity in the 16th century, both at sea and upon land, particularly in Austria, Germany and Northern Europe. The stout and sweeping blade is ideal for grievous hacks and cuts, the tip is an able thrusting point and the thick-spined, and wide blade coupled with an extensive basket guard makes it a very durable and capable parrying sword. It is also commonly known as the Sinclair Saber after its Victorian association with a Scottish mercenary colonel to led a doomed 1612 expedition that was ambushed in Norway whilst en-route to offer their services to Sweden.

This Dusge has a blade forged from EN45 high carbon steel; its strongly-crafted hilt of steel is blued steel and the wooden grip is bound in leather. The sword is paired with a companion scabbard of leather with a blued steel chape and locket.
