Five Lobed Viking Sword - New Model - Deepeeka
This new version of Deepeeka's Five-Lobed Pommel Viking Sword is substantially lighter and easier to wield thanks to its improved distal taper and deeper fuller groove, altogether making the sword substantially move lively in the hand than its predecessor. Its blade is forged from well-tempered C60 (similar to 1060) high carbon steel with a tempered hardness of 48-50 HRc. The guard and pommel components are forged from mild steel and the wooden grip is bound in spiralled high quality leather. Like originals, the pommel is a two-part construction with a pommel base and pommel cap which is riveted to the base and the whole construction reinforced with the sword tang peened over the pommel cap.
The sword is matched with a wood core scabbard which is overlaid in a tightly stitched wrap of genuine high quality vegetable tanned leather to match the sword grip. The wooden scabbard slide is bound in corded leather and allows for the sword to be slung from a baldric or sword belt for wear.
