Designed by noted sword smith Michael ”Tinker” Pearce and manufacutered by Hanwei, these medieval swords have been are made to satisfy the need of every Western Martial Arts practitioner and sword enthusiast, to have a matching set of sharp and blunt swords for cutting and safe training practice. The swords meet Tinker`s exacting quality requirements and are built in much the same way as his custom pieces. Each blade is forged from 5160 Spring Steel, Marquenched to the desired hardness of 50-53 Hrc while the tang is drawn back to the low 30s Hrc. The very end of the tang is threaded to fit an allen nut recessed into the pommel which allows for dimantling of the hilt assembly for inspection or to exchange blades if needed.
The Tinker Pearce Blunted Single Hand Sword features a blunted blade with rounded tip and central fuller. The guard and pommel are made of steel while the grip is wood wrapped in black leather. Includes a composite fiberglasss scabbard with black leather wrap and steel accents.

Hanwei Tinker Pearce Blunted Single Hand Sword this is the perfect sword for any sword and buckler or single sword work.
it is light, responsive and is a joy to use.
i did find the handle to be to thin for my meaty hands.being at the whole sword disassembles, it took me a few hours to make a new handle

Great sword The desing is made for thrusting as much as cuting and fits for the swordplay of the I.33 Manuscript.
The balance is fine, not as good as i expected ir but still way beyond most swords in this price range and also some above.
It looks very plain and appears cheap, through once you pic it up you can feel the quality!
I can only recomend it for everyone with intrest in historical swordfighting.

Solid, affordable piece. This was my first sword and I have no issues about it. It is affordable, simplistic but elegant, not overbuilt, handles adequately for blade length and type. It’s not too sharp on arrival, still can cut bottles but for more serious work you will have to sharpen it. Pommel and guard will start to rust if you keep it in damp-y room but that was to be expected from spring steel. Easy recommendation.

Superb! Strong, light, well-balanced! We have a couple of Tinker swords in use in my HEMA (Adria) group and are very satisfied.
This is an innovative design in terms of materials. The fact that blades may be replaced using screw recessed in pommel is major since any blade used in live steel fighting is subject top failure p by far the most demanding application for a sword.

This is a fantastic sword for the price range. It has a nice weight and is pretty nicely balanced. You could replace a damaged blade with ease. Overall, It’s a great beginner sword, and I would recommend you buy it.
