A practical sword for a more modern age; the Honshu Boshin takes the design of the famed Japanese Wakizashi and melds it with modern material and innovation. The blade is tough and resilient tempered 1060 high carbon steel with a thick blade spine for additional durability. The hilt has a steel guard and pommel and is completed with a grip of ergonomic thermoplastic rubber for a sure and comfortable hand hold. The slim oval form of the guard allows for the sword to be worn more closely to the body or more easily stowed in a tight space than a traditional round guard and the pommel has a pre-drilled hole to accommodate your own lanyard.

The sword comes with a black wooden scabbard which is completed with a sageo of black cord over synthetic leather.

Please Note: This product tends to suffer from a slightly loose guard and it is a common enough issue that it cannot be considered a defect and is representative of standard level of quality.

Rugged TPR handle – clean, functional design; textured no-slip grip; ergonomic contours boost comfort, reduce fatigue thermoplastic rubber

Offset elliptical guard and angled pommel with lanyard hole for tethering; both satin-finished stainless steel

Tough wooden saya beautifully complements sword; accented with black leather sageo
