Light and responsive, the Kingston Arms rapier is an able and agile weapon fit for the duel. It takes its design cues from historical examples which often sourced a blade from Solingen or Toledo and then had it mounted in a hilt crafted by a local cutler for a distinguished client. Improvements were made on this model to reinforce the blade at the ricasso and the mouth of the guard to give it reinforcement for the thrust. The blade is forged from tempered high carbon steel. The hilt is stainless steel with a matte black titanium coat finish. The grip is bound in brown cord and included is a hard core scabbard which is wrapped in leather and finished with blackened fittings.

Please Note: The sword ships unassembled for easier shipping. It can be assembled without any tools and comes with its own allen wrench for assembly / disassembly

I’ve bought this one but not blackened and as a first time sword buyer, I must say this was a very worthwhile purchase. It came disassemble (which in my opinion helps with swapping out damaged parts). I’ve had it for close to 7 months now and I love it. After tightening the pommel a bit more it was super sturdy and felt great! The blade is perfect for thrusting, while testing it I stabbed it into wood and it bent into a full arc and straightened back out immediately. Would highly recommend for anyone who’s new to sword buying!

Very, very handsome sword, with an excellent weight. Feels just right to swing or jab with. Comes in separate parts, which may be a downside, but for me, personally, I liked that experience, as it allowed me to form an emotional bond with the sword. The only real downside is purely aesthetic, but I personally find the gap of exposed blade between the crossguard and the scabbard to be awkward. Very excellent sword, worth the asking price.

This rapier looks good and is lightweight, I am not sure if it would hold up under hard use. This is my fourth rapier purchase, my first (Windlass Swept-hilt) is beefier , and has served well for reenactment/dueling demos since 1995. This rapier is better suited to drill, or display.
