Knights Collection – Late Medieval Arming Sword

This hand-forged late Medieval arming sword from the Knight’s Collection is a striking example of a classic knightly sword crafted from resilient high carbon steel. Forged from 1045 high carbon steel, the blade undergoes heat treatment to achieve a hard edge while maintaining flexibility to absorb impacts and has a hardness of 52-54 HRc. The diamond cross section blade is suitable for both cutting and thrusting alike. The guard and pommel are made from stainless steel and the full-tang of the blade extends into the handle and is secured with a recessed nut pommel assembly. The grip is bound in cord and overlaid in stitched black faux leather. The black scabbard is made from wood which is tightly fitted with a matched wrap of stitched faux leather which includes a thin leather sword belt to match.

This medieval sword with its 3-inch point of balance enables swift and controlled maneuvers. The 27-inch blade length provides ample reach without overwhelming the user, while the 5-inch grip ensures comfortable one-handed operation. Inspired by the arming swords of the late medieval period, this design mirrors the versatile sidearms carried by knights and men-at-arms across Europe.
