LK Chen - Green Dragon Jian
The Green Dragon Jian by LK Chen is a recreation of the classic Jian of Chinese Martial Arts from the mid 20th century to modernity. Ideal for the study and practice of Chinese Martial Arts, this Jian has a strong blade with just the right amount of springiness in its tip, but remains stiff and strong at the base of the blade with its thick ricasso. It has a final tempered hardness of 54-55 HRc. The blade is a classic diamond cross section Jian with a raised and stiffening central ridge and a pronounced tip ideal for powerful punctures and thrusts to a target. Its reinforced ricasso gives the blade the additional strength and mass needed for decisive parries.
The guard and pommel are solid and tough brass and the polished grip is fashioned from hardwood. The scabbard is carved from quality hardwood and finely polished to match the sword grip.
