Medieval Longsword - Stage Combat Version - Deepeeka
This Medieval Longsword has a forged blade of C60 high carbon steel; the rounded tip and thick, blunted edges are intended to withstand the rigors of stage combat. The hilt is steel and the wooden grip is overlaid in leather and completed with inlay of twisted steel wire.
The scabbard is crafted from wood and finished with a tight leather wrap and steel fittings.

Great for the price. I bought this piece a little over a year ago. I dio fully-armored, live steel combat similar to the ACL. In the course of the year, this piece has seen a great many battles. It’s survived with no warps or bends. No extreme edge damage, a few rolls but nothing a grinder can’t take out. The only issue for durability is that the handle has come loose and rattles. Not the worst thing in the world and some fishing line reduces that a great deal.
It’s well balanced, though a little forward heavy, has a great blunt edge and a nice, rounded tip. The cord on the handle came unwound at some point, but that’s fine. The material on the handle, which I’m not convinced is leather, has been chewed up a lot by my gauntlets, but that’s to be expected.
Overall, a great piece for reenactment fighting or sparring. Especially for the price.
Feels great! Pretty exceptional for the price. The handle is a bit short and I could see bulky sparring gloves giving some difficulty with holding it.
