Musashi - Shirakawa Black Ryu Katana
The Musashi Shirakawa Black Ryu Katana comes from Musashis Silver Collection and has a blade which is forged from 1060 high carbon steel and differentially-tempered with the traditional clay tempering process to create a sword with a hardened edge and resilient body as evidenced by its genuine hamon line. The blade spine has a long bohi groove which lightens the blade considerably whilst sacrificing little durability to create a sword that is swift and highly responsive.
The intricate tsuba is blackened steel and the fuchi and kashira are blackened metal. The wooden grip was crafted with inlaid panels of genuine rayskin before being overlaid with knotted black cotton ito cord. The sword is paired with a wooden saya scabbard which is finished with glossy black lacquer and a cotton sageo cord. Included with the sword is a cloth sword bag and a manufacturers certificate.
